ABOUT ME I am spending my winter in sunny Joshua Tree. Nornnally, I live in a little Alaskan fishing village of 2500 people. I have lived all over the US as well as Scotland, Greece, a ski season in France, and a summer in the Scottish Highlands. I seek adventure, meeting new people, seeing new places, challenging myself. PHILOSOPHY Live life to the fullest..be yourself...live a simple and meaningful life…consume less....DO MORE!!!

Warum ich auf Couchsurfing bin
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I can meet up for a hike or coffee and chat. I have a good knowledge of the area and the National Park. I can't host right now. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE Really really positive!
Musik, Filme und Bücher
Most types of music, rock, bluegrass, funk, jam and especially live shows, open mics, and festivals. Movies: quality dramas, comedies, documentaries Books: good fiction; lately Tom Robbins: Still Life with Woodpecker, Skinny Legs and All; I enjoy ready books about travels and adventure, like Touching the Void and Into the Wild. I just picked up some short stories by French writer George's Simenon.
Eine tolle Sache, die ich getan habe
I've seen the midsummer sun circle entirely around the sky without setting on the north coast of Alaska. More recently I've sailed from Colombia to Panama on a tiny 28 foot sailboat with NO MOTOR, wind power only - amazing experience!

Was ich mit Hosts teilen kann
I can share stories of my travels and my life living in a small fishing town in Alaska as well as travels around Latin America and Europe.
Meine Interessen
my greatest passion is the outdoors and nature, especially hiking, climbing, trekking, cycle touring, skiing (esp. touring), cross country skiing, and sailing; I also practice yoga, vegetarian cooking, and other hippy eco-groovey things like minimalist living. I like to mix it up between country and city. Although I've become the Alaskan country girl, I do love to visit cities for art, culture, music, and diversity.
