CURRENT MISSION Right now, a friend and I are backpacking in Indonesia. We would like to meet some people traveling as well as living in Indonesia! ABOUT ME I am Carina from Denmark. This is my second gap year and this summer I am going to study psychology. Before things get too serious, I want to exploit the freedom a little bit more by going to Indonesia for a month and a half with a great friend of mine! I like to get to know people and get inspired of all the amazing stories they want to share. And most of all I like to get new experiences, and it doesn't get any better, if it can make me laugh! PHILOSOPHY "Det kan ikke gå værre end galt" - "It can't get any worser than bad" An ironic saying about to do what you want, because it can't get any worser than bad ;-)

Warum ich auf Couchsurfing bin
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I would like to surf / meet up with people here in Indonesia! COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE I havn't really used CS before. I once stayed a night with a host of my friend, so I the same way became a surfer in her house. And when I lived in Venezuela for some time, some of my friends used CS to meet up, where I joined. It was some really nice experiences, which made me want to use CS myself!
Musik, Filme und Bücher
I don't watch many movies, but one of my favorits must be "Forrest Gump". Unfortunately I don't read much in my daily life, but I like to read and when I read a good book, I forget time and place. I would like to mention "Doppler" of Erlend Loe and the trilogy Nordkraft of Jakob Ejersbo as some of the best I have read. I play "leaving on a jetplane" on guitar and own a didgeridoo. You are welcome to teach me some more if you drop by some day!
Eine tolle Sache, die ich getan habe
Fall, last year, I went with my group from the folk high school I attended to, to Thailand. We corroborated with a danish organization to make an awareness campaign about the circumstances of the Burmese refugees who flee to Thailand. We visited a refugee camp. A group of three, including me, interviewed 5 refugees there. One interview, one man really draw my attention. Because when we thanked him for sharing his narration with us, he looked at us and said: thank you for listening and sharing it with the world outside the refugee camp. I will never forget how much it ment to him and how important I felt. So one of the most amazing things I have done is definitely spreading his words.

Meine Interessen
- Experience new things, an extension of is: traveling! I like to get inspired and learn now things. To get ideas, plan it and do it together with different kind of people is the best! - Achieve new knowlegde. It can be through studies, meet people or experience new places. - I like to do different kind of sports, especially dancing (all kinds). - And last but not least to share time with my family and friends!
