CURRENT MISSION To experience and enjoy life and help others do the same. ABOUT ME We are a family of four, Dylan, Ruth, Aidan 12 and Anushka 7 living with 2 housemates, Josie and Molly. We live in an ethnically diverse part of Sheffield, not far out of town. We welcome travellers, especially families and Spanish speakers. Somos una familia de cuatro, Dylan (papá), Ruth (mamá), Aidan (hijo con 12 años) y Anushka (hija con 7 años). Vivimos en un barrio de Sheffield con mucha diversidad étnica y no lejos del centro. Damos la bienvenida a los viajeros, especialmente las familias y hispanohablantes. In 2025 we travelled in Peru and Colombia for over 4 months. In summer 2026 we’re planning to travel to Italy for 2 weeks (31st July – 12th Aug) by train and keen to couchsurf some of the time. We only just started learning Italian on Duolingo. But Ruth speaks Spanish quite well and we’re hoping that might help a bit. En 2025 viajamos en Perú y Colombia durante más que cuatro meses. En el verano 2026 planeamos a viajar a Italia durante 2 semanas (31 julio – 12 agosto) en tren y nos gustaría alojarnos en couchsurfing durante parte del tiempo. Solamente empezamos a aprender italiano en duolingo. Pero Ruth habla español bastante bien y esperamos que ayuda un poco. We are a sociable family. We are keen to meet local people and experience everyday life, as well as visit touristy places. We travel quite slowly, as everything takes longer with children. Somos una familia sociable. Estamos interesados en conocer gente local y experimentar la vida cotidiana, así como visitar lugares turísticos. Planeamos a viajar bastante lentamente, porque todo necesita más tiempo con niños. We love playing music, but can't bring instruments with us. Aidan loves sport, games and writing stories. Anushka loves water and craft. We like getting out into parks and the countryside and at home we cycle a lot. We like talking and thinking, although expect this to be interrupted often by children. A Ruth y Dylan nos gusta tocar la música, pero no podemos llevar los instrumentos. A Aidan le encantan los deportes, juegos y escribir cuentos. A Anushka le encanta agua y la artesanía. Nos gustan salir en parques y en la naturaleza y en Inglaterra montamos mucho en bicicleta. Nos gusta hablar y pensar, pero esto es interrumpido mucho por los niños. We would be happy to cook for you, although we are vegetarian, so not meat. We can play some games with you or teach you a song. If you have children, we would be happy to hang out with them & teach them some English too. Estaríamos encantados de cocinar para sus, pero somos vegetarianos, entonces sin carne. Podemos jugar o enseñarte una canción. Si tiene niños podemos pasar el rato con ellos y enseñarles algo de inglés también.
