Maybe I can explain a bit why/how I found Couchsurfing: After school I wanted to do something different than going to University or doing an apprenticeship while also being helpful and giving back what I received so far. So I decided to do a voluntery service in the US (always dreamt of staying in the US for longer). there I was living and working with people with developmental disabilities in the Camphill Village Copake and while staying in the US I saw quite something in my limited spare time. It also seems to be reasonable to use couchsurf instead of living in a hotel since I already decided for community when I came to live with people with special needs. That didn't change after completion of that volunteer service. PHILOSOPHY Don´t worry - the worries will come on their own, you don´t have to help them with that.
