Aspiring slow-traveler interested in sharing experiences and meeting locals. I admire untouched landscapes and have a respect and fascination with other cultures' histories. Over the past 10 years I've lived for extended periods of time in the different countries of SE Asia, South America, and most recently Europe (Portugal). Previously I helped develop a project called "The Mimic Method" which is an app and philosophy that helps you learn languages through pronunciation/music training: https://mimicmethod.com. It's a wonderful idea and I think all you couchsurfers will find it useful! More recently I work with my wife on our business of teaching Portuguese to expats coming to Portugal! Here is that project: https://www.youtube.com/@TalktheStreets

Warum ich auf Couchsurfing bin
Couchsurfing has been an awesome resource for travelers and those who promote traveling. The real benefit for me is to get to know a person's experience in another country. I have hosted a handful of times when I lived in the US but now I'm more settled in my home of Lisbon, Portugal (with a wife and a dog)! I've couchsurfed a few times in Asia and Europe and now I'm ready for more. The community is great because everyone is interested in traveling and also invested in meeting other great people.
Musik, Filme und Bücher
I have an interest in all sorts of music and movies from arthouse to comedies and documentaries. I love learning lots about the histories of countries and cultures in order to update my perspective on the world so I'm usually reading something, just ask!
Eine tolle Sache, die ich getan habe
Teaching English to kids in Taiwan.
Lehren, Lernen, Teilen
I could share my ideas about the nature of, well, pretty much anything. lately I've been spending a lot of time thinking about consciousness, tech trends, cultural patterns, how humans might actually get to Mars within our lifetime.
Was ich mit Hosts teilen kann
Stories of my travels, what I've learned about people. I'm quite good with language acquisition (I teach it), so I can share my tips on that as well. And I would love to cook breakfast for you!
Meine Interessen
Always you should be learning something new - so engaging in something social and local is a priority. I like to hike, cycle, dance, take photos, cook, etc.
