CURRENT MISSION Pioneer the way for the Global Hacker Tour ABOUT ME Worked in Silicon Valley for 3 years, then drove from there to Patagonia and half back for 4 years, set up a reforestation project in Panama along the way, and started a software company: www.kudelabs.com. Want to do more traveling, always working remotely. PHILOSOPHY I love doing things that haven't been done before... want to leave a bug positive mark on the world somehow but also have fun. Hate consumerism, don't own a TV, hate shopping. Don't need much to be happy, but value my time, we only have one life here (as far as we know right now)

Warum ich auf Couchsurfing bin
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I had half the CouchSurfing Team visit at my place in Panama during their Costa Rica collective - great people! Want to explore intersection of coworking, couchsurfing, and work while traveling lifestyle. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE I couchsurf with old friends in the bay area whenever I am there. Have hosted lots of friends, in China and Panama. New to couchsurfing.com, but have many friends who have done this.

Near-term/realistic scifi: Neal Stephenson (loved Diamond Age), Cory Doctorow. Currently reading Atlas Shrugged (not sure if it's worth my time). Nonfiction: Guns Germs and Steel, Collapse, One River (Wade Davis). Recently enjoyed Memoirs of a Primate, China Road, Red China Blues. Watch/listen to TED Talks.
