That night we picked them up, gave them a car tour of the town and then home for a really fascinating evening of persons talking and exchanging views on anything and everything while enjoying the cool mountain breeze as we gazed at the town beneath the veranda. My father 80y.o. at the time was so entuned with them he even recited an old german poem he still remembered. My daughter whom at that time only about 13 y.o. asked us if we had met this couple before that day. No, I said, but its as if we had known them for a long time.
