COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE I have done plenty of couch surfing on my own through personal contacts and friends. My first official couch surfing experience that I set up through this site was for a trip to Honolulu Hawaii. I had a few days off from work. I got in touch with a guy in Hawaii then I jumped on a plane by myself and headed down there. Everything worked out great. I got a few days in the sun, and I met some cool people. Since then I have hosted a few people and stayed with people in some other random places around the world. I even couch surfed in Russia. I met a great guy named Alex in Moscow. Alex really showed us what couch surfing is all about. It was a great experience and I plan to take full advantage of couch surfing in my future travels.

On of the most amazing days of my life was in Taupo New Zealand. My friend Mandy and I woke up at the hostel we were staying and set out on an adventure. We went to three different place. We jumped out of a plane over Lake Taupo, went white water rafting down a major river in NZ, and topped off the day by bungy juping into a canyon.
