CURRENT MISSION Saving the world, one old lady at a time ABOUT ME I'm a Peace Corps volunteer living in a tiny rural village in the commune of N'Torosso, outside of the city of San, in Mali. San's located halfway between Segou and Mopti, in the Segou region. In addition to being a Peace Corps volunteer I'm a photojournalist and traveler.

Warum ich auf Couchsurfing bin
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING My house is open for anyone who wants to experience life in a rural Malian town off the beaten path for a few days. No tourguides, nobody constantly trying to sell you stuff. I can provide food, a mattress, and a mosquito net for as long as you're there. I can act as translator (English to Bambara and vice-versa) and guide. Depending on the days you're there I can take you to our brusse-market as well. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE None! When couch surfing first started, I did the photography for an article on the CS community in Eugene, OR. We dragged a couch into the woods and photographed someone sleeping on it.
Eine tolle Sache, die ich getan habe
Bussed from Bamako to Dakar, Spent a weekend at a deserted beach resort in Senegal, Hiked Dogon Country, and spent a night at the Waterfalls in Sikasso.
Meine Interessen
I spend most of my time between my village and the city of San. In village I garden, photograph, and hang out with the locals. In San I relax, and whenever possible I travel around Mali.
