Hey you, the person reading this greeting somewhere on another side of the world! My name is Anna, Anya, Ann - whatever you prefer. I come from a tiny town in Dnipropetrovsk region, and currently study in Kharkiv which is a big and beautiful city with nice people, a lot of churches and just good places to visit. I love discovering the world around me, because there is so much that I don't know, and even that smart people called scientists don't know, and it's almost intimidating. But then again - there is such a diversity of things we can learn, and it's wonderful indeed! I have a few passions right now - learning English and French as well as participating in CACTUS. Got an image of a desert full of spiny cacti? Well, that's right. But there's another CACTUS as well, that is a cool Ukrainian NGO. I can tell you about it if we meet :) That's pretty much it. I might write on and on but...it's probably better not to make a book of myself that any stranger on the Internet can read.

Warum ich auf Couchsurfing bin
I've discovered a feature "wants to meet up" and thought that it would be really nice to meet with some travellers who are stopping by Kharkiv. I probably couldn't host anybody just now because I am living in a university dorm ;) But on the whole I like meeting people from all over the world. It teaches me to accept everybody for who they are, that's why I don't care whether you are white or black, gay or straight, or whatever. People are different, and that's what makes this world awesome.
Musik, Filme und Bücher
Speaking about music, I can listen to pretty much anything as long as it sounds well to me. I don't watch movies often but rather prefer watching TV shows like the Big Bang Theory or American Horror Story (just started watching it in French without subtitles, feeling like a hero). What about books...maybe you will throw some tomatoes at me, but I don't really like reading much. If I do read, it is something quite one-topic-centered, like Hunger Games and Divergent that are very similar books.
Eine tolle Sache, die ich getan habe
I have organized my own lecture on Cultural Diversity in Ukraine :) It was something I organized myself for the first time, that's why it was very important to me.
Lehren, Lernen, Teilen
I can teach you some Ukrainian, show around Kharkiv, and make you addicted to NGO CACTUS. Choose one option or all the three.
Was ich mit Hosts teilen kann
Again, I can teach you some Ukrainian, make you addicted to NGO CACTUS, and write you some sweet sincere note. Actually I love doing the last one a lot.
