Hello there. A young mind trying to find a way through this overwhelming world, spontaneous enough to make stupid decisions and stubborn enough to get out of tricky coincidences again. Avid storyteller and equally avid listener.

Warum ich auf Couchsurfing bin
To understand a foreign country I want to get in touch with the locals. How else could I immerse into a unknown culture, an unfamiliar everyday life? A culture is composed of its people, so a deeper understanding cannot pass by them. I love to give back to people what they gifted me, conversations, knowledge or maybe just some attentive listening. We don't need material exchange to make each other happy, being humane to each other is more than enough for me.
Musik, Filme und Bücher
The first things I see when I open my Spotify: Escalandrum, Philosophize this! by Stephen West (ok, this is a podcast), Telemann: 12 Fantasias for Solo Violin, Virtue by the Voidz and Hissing Fauna, Are You The Destroyer? by Montreal. Otherwise I also like Bill Evans, Pink Floyd and The Prodigy. Put your tunes on and we will swing along! There are way too many good books to enjoy. I find books about medicine, foreign cultures and religion fascinating and look into other people's life by biographies. I am still happy that I discovered the German poet Mascha Kaléko - her poems are so witty and melancholic. I also liked Hermann Hesse's Steppenwolf and I'm still nibbling on Salman Rushdie's Midnight Children. In most cases I find it easier to read the novel, so I have to admit I am not the biggest cineaste. But I enjoyed Forrest Gump a lot and I am open for new movies anytime.
Eine tolle Sache, die ich getan habe
I spent an afternoon at a Japanese shinto temple. It was very hot, the crickets were chirping like crazy and the red painted wood of the temple's gate was glowing bright. I contemplated long on the three tomoe painted in a circle and observed how people came in their lunch break to sacrifice to the ancient gods and godesses.
Lehren, Lernen, Teilen
I can teach you how to combine ingredients to create Korean food and how to make quite sturdy origami paper boxes. Oh, and if you don't mind I also have a funky trick to remember telephone numbers. Besides that I can explain cool neuroscience stuff to you.
Was ich mit Hosts teilen kann
I can improvise a meal out of random stuff
