COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE Because I think it's a brilliant idea to encourage people to see different places, and meet different people, without having to break the bank. My first guests were a Polish couple. I've got happy memories of it. Since then I've had guests from Argentina, India, Morocco, France and Denmark. All of the experiences were positive, although I have my favourites. I haven't had anybody in my house for a few years, because my son lives with me some of the time, but I've met up with couchsurfers to show them around Tarragona and the surrounding areas. I would accept couchsurfing guests, but it would have to be at a time when my son isn't here, because my house is very small, and any guests sleep either in my bed, if they're a couple (and I sleep in my son's bed), or in my son's bed when he's not there. I've never actually been a guest couchsurfer. I tried to go couchsurfing in Iceland, a few years ago, and in England, last year, but I couldn't find a host, so finally, I went to Iceland with Airbnb. It's disappointing, because I wonder if it's my age that puts people off, butI'll try again another year.

I like watching British, American, and original version series (with subtitles). I'm a big fan of audio-books in English, but I like reading in Spanish and French (and German, if it's easy). I also enjoy going to the cinema, but I don't like going alone.
