I manage commercial properties in LA — retail centers, office buildings, that kind of thing. Been doing it about 20 years, which I realize makes me sound older than I feel. Outside of work I sit on a community housing board in West Hollywood, where I've lived for most of my adult life. Just moved back to WeHo after a two years on the south side of the city and it feels like a homecoming. I drive a Miata with the top down year-round. I train at a gym in Baldwin Hills and at John Reed in West Hollywood. Bangkok is my favorite city outside of LA — it's where I'd eventually like to spend a lot more time. I read mostly nonfiction — psychology, strategy, urban planning. I like people who are building something or figuring something out. I'm more interesting over coffee than I am on paper. ✨

Warum ich auf Couchsurfing bin
I'm on here for both sides of it. I host because I like meeting people who travel with intention — not just checking boxes. The best experiences I've had were real conversations over a meal or a hang in the neighborhood. I host one person at a time, weekends only, and I'd rather do it once a month and make it great than every weekend on autopilot. I also travel, and I'd rather stay with someone interesting in a neighborhood I'd never find on my own than book a hotel in the tourist district. Bangkok, Barcelona, Berlin — I'm drawn to cities with strong local identity, and the best way to experience that is through someone who actually lives there. I want to be the kind of host I'd want to stay with.

Served as a Public Safety and Transportation Commissioner for the City of West Hollywood — got to work on real policy for the neighborhood I live in.
Lehren, Lernen, Teilen
Teach: How LA actually works — the neighborhoods, the hidden spots, the difference between tourist LA and real LA. Basics of commercial real estate if that interests you. How to make a small apartment feel like a sanctuary. Learn: Travel intel on Southeast Asia — especially Thailand. What's working in your city that we haven't figured out yet. Whatever you're obsessed with right now. Share: Good coffee, a neighborhood walk through WeHo, honest conversation, and restaurant recommendations you won't find on Google.
Was ich mit Hosts teilen kann
I'm low-maintenance and respectful of your space — I've been a property manager for 20 years, so I treat other people's homes the way I'd want mine treated. I'll leave your place cleaner than I found it. I'm happy to bring good coffee, or take you out to dinner as a thank-you. I'm a solid conversationalist if you want company and perfectly comfortable doing my own thing if you don't. I travel light, keep quiet hours, and I'm out exploring most of the day. If you're in LA — I'm happy to return the hosting anytime.
