Sometimes when backpacking in remote areas away from the tourist spots it appears that finding accommodation is easier said than done. Couchsurfing, however, proved to be very useful in such situations.

Right now, I am totally into German Hip Hop and African Dance Hall. However, when travelling, I always try to find some music of local artists. I think it gives you an extra-feeling of the country you're visiting, and even years later it will remind you of the great experiences you made during that time.
