Consummate traveller, stupid American boy at heart. Looking to try new places, meet new people, and learn what I can. I love exploring the world and trying new things.

Warum ich auf Couchsurfing bin
Short answer: Student loans Long answer: I love people, I always have, it's how I managed a decade in the restaurant industry. The one thing I really miss when travelling in hotels is the interaction you get when you're a guest in someone else's house. I'd much rather have someone to share a drink with than have someone make my bed while I'm out. Furthermore, my family hosted exchange students for most of my teens, and I found it an amazing experience learning about the various cultures and countries. I know I can't travel everywhere, so I'd like to experience what I can even at home.

Eine tolle Sache, die ich getan habe
This one time at bandcamp... I'm kidding. I am however terrible at talking about myself. I guess one moment I found special of was hiking the presidential mountain range with my little sister.
Lehren, Lernen, Teilen
I don't really speak enough of other languages to teach any, but I'm always open to learn more. My Salsa is good enough to get by in the us, and to make a fool of myself in Colombia. I am however a pretty solid cook and am always prepared to share or learn a new recipe. I've been told I make a pretty good cocktail too, so if that's your thing. History and politics are my real passions, and I've spent a lot of time focusing on the Cold War. I'm always down to talk about whatever crazy thing is going on in the world. I spent a couple years studying environmental studies and teaching high schoolers about it on weekends, and while I'm not always good about turning off lights I am always interested in learning about a new place and sharing what I can.
Was ich mit Hosts teilen kann
This is kind of repetitive, no? I'd be happy to cook you a meal or make you a drink. I'll share the last good book I read or album I heard. My sense of humor has been known to make grown men cry, or laugh, so let me know where to set it and I'll leave it dialed in, hopefully we'll share a good laugh. Warn me of sarcasm isn't your thing though, I can turn it off, but it takes an effort.
