I grew up in the states but have spent an extensive amount of time in Nicaragua over the last 10 years. I've studied abroad in Costa Rica 2 times and traveled to Colombia to play Ultimate and host teaching clinics. During my time in Nicaragua I have done many different things. I've worked with mission teams, NGOs, organized medical clinics, started sports teams, done construction, etc. Nicaragua has taught me and blessed me so much. I truly consider it my home. Currently I am living in Nicaragua working as the Executive Director of Breaking Borders, which is a 501c3 tax exempt org based out of Florida. I am in Nicaragua to help develop our Nica Project. The Nica project consists of using Ultimate (Frisbee) as a tool for character development in youth. Our main focus is equipping youth with necessary leadership skills for future jobs, relationship, and life. Our model also allows us to grow the sport of Ultimate on a country wide scale, on a foundation of service and leadership. feel free to check out our site! www.breakingborders.org

Warum ich auf Couchsurfing bin
I'm on couch surfing because during my travels I've loved having the ability to meet and get to know people from all over the world. Traveling allows us to interact with, learn from, and explore new cultures. It opens our minds to new ideas and concepts. My wife and I love meeting new people and eventually would like to host international college students at our house. WE figured this might be a good way to start that process and it would also allow us to make friend from all across the world.

Some of my favorite artists are Josh Garrels, John Mayer, Ben Howard, Mumford and Sons, Jackson Browne, Phillip Phillips, The Fray, Peter Bradley Adams, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Juanes, Mana, Enanitos Verdes, and Hans Zimmer. I also love most classic rock, some country, movie soundtracks, and classical music.

I love sharing ideas and having intelligent fun conversations. I feel like I have a fairly decent grasp on the culture of serving overseas, its affects (good and bad), and how it can be used to grow and help everyone involved.

I'm a laid back person who loves having good conversation and learning from others. Life has taught me to "go with the flow" and be intentional with those around me.
