I am a single professional male....high school teacher in Ontario, Canada. I live just north of London, Ontario....in a small community called Port Franks, which is located on the southern tip of one of the Great Lakes... Lake Huron I teach high school in Exeter, Ontario.

Warum ich auf Couchsurfing bin
I am looking to go on a trip in the fall (I took a semester off work to travel to Cyprus, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Hawaii, Galapagos....I'd love to meet local people and see these places with their expertise , advice and company!
Musik, Filme und Bücher
I enjoy classic rock, the blues, new country, and folk rock, celtic rock, and alternative. Anything but dance and rap I guess... Favorite movies - Dances with Wolves, and Shawshank Redemption. Favorite books... I liked Last Chance to See (Douglas Adams), and I enjoy the writing of Larry McMurtry (Lonesome Dove series), as well as John Irving (his early works).
Eine tolle Sache, die ich getan habe
I was in Colombia (Manizales), and took an excursion to the top of a volcano...5000m elevation!! Only had 60 -90 min of acclimatization....and was the first person to the top of the rim! Also, my dog I rescued from Canada's Arctic saved my life (and a friends) from a polar bear when I was living and working up there. He has since passed...RIP Chico!

Im not sure what to put here? Hmmmm.....I can teach you guitar. I could learn a new language (Spanish?), and I can share experiences from my travels to Colombia, or places in Canada, USA, or Europe.

Not sure what to put here either? I can share "duties", and food costs ( I dont expect to be fed for free) , and Ill walk your dog for you for sure!!
Meine Interessen
I love animals and used to have two awesome dogs that I rescued from the Arctic when I was teaching and working up there (1996-2001). So, I love animals and would enjoy visiting animal sanctuaries, etc... I enjoy the outdoors...snowboarding, hiking, snorkeling.... I play hockey all winter. I enjoy travelling but find it expensive as a single person...everything is double occupancy based. I like experiencing different cultures and am always up for an adventure.
