Lots of good and interesting conversation with people who might have grown up in a very different environment as your own. You have the opportunity to show/ see all the "secret", non-touristic and not overcrowded spots of a place:) I feel like couchsurfing people in general like giving and are very open minded and generous. I think nowadays we barely get in contact with strangers, so couchsurfing is a possibility for me to leave my comfort zone and to realise how fast "strangers" can become friends.
