I am an American young adult, and like many of those on couchsurfing and the like, am fascinated with the world around me. For most of my youth and adult life, my goal has been to broaden my horizons through travel and cultural exchange. I have spent 2 years studying abroad in 2 countries, and have spent 3 of the past 5 years in Asia (mostly in China) doing various things (teaching English to ESL students, studying martial arts, traveling in South-East Asia). As a self-proclaimed 'student of the world', my goal is to enrich both my own life and the lives of others by sharing and learning with people from all over the world. In this regard, I hope to be a lifelong learner.

Warum ich auf Couchsurfing bin
To me, the interactions one has while traveling the world, with both locals and fellow travelers, are often the most important and memorable part of any trip. Through my travels, I've met countless amazing human beings who have enriched my life far more than any snapshot or memorable meal ever could. To put it simply, the opportunity to meet people and share life experience is what keeps me on the road. Though I've only had one other experience with couchsurfing, I believe that most of the community shares my same perspective on travel and meeting new people. I look forward to staying with, and hopefully in the future, hosting people from all different backgrounds - to sharing some amazing experiences and making some unforgettable memories.

Meine Interessen
I am very interested in the study of languages through media and the arts. I am also a very outdoorsy person who enjoys climbing, hiking, mountaineering, trail running, parkour / freerunning, martial arts, and the like. I am also fascinated with foreign cuisine, and exposing myself to new foods / culinary styles. I enjoy sampling the local night-life of my various destinations, and experiencing the local cultures as more than just a tourist.
