I'm a very social individual and so is my son. Beyond the obvious financial aspect of couchsurfing, it makes a lot of sens : Social, networking, sharing etc... I must point out that my initial and immediate reason is to 'drivewaysurf'. We are traveling in a very compact set-up made of a small frugal car and a travel trailer that I purposely built for our road trips (in the US & Canada). We love it. It has many benefits, including to be of very little disturbance since all we need is a spot to park, a bit of water and that's about it ! There's other organisations out there that are specific to Boondocking on private properties but sadly, their T&C's are quite discriminating. Our Camper must be a 'proper' one with all the amenities that we don't need. So I'm hoping we'll be luckier with this platform. Of course, I am not excluding the idea of couchsurfing in a more conventional way should the need arise ! We're looking forward to meeting you some day ....
