When traveling, I love meeting locals and fellow travelers. In 2016, I took all of my vacation time and a week of unpaid leave to go on a single extended trip so I was home-bound for the foreseeable future. Wanting to keep that travel experience alive, I signed up as a host to meet couch surfers, share stories with them, and help them as they travel in my area.

Into the local music scene but most interested in rock bands. If a band puts on a good live show, I will always check them out. I saw 80 live shows last year (2016). Read mostly non-fiction in an attempt to understand things a little better. I am usually an avid reader consuming dozens of books a year but recently, I only have enough time to read travel guides.
