I moved to the US eight years ago with my two lovely daughters. I grew up in Uzbekistan, and studied railroad engineering. I didn't even think that down the road I'd become an RN (registered nurse) but that's what happened when I moved to America. One of the biggest reasons I chose this profession was because I wanted to be able to give better care to my bedridden father whenever we went back to visit. Another was to be able to help people and brighten their days at least a little. If there's anything I love in this world, it is my family (including my three crazy cats) and a sense of adventure. A year ago, my daughters and I went vegan and got to know the organizers of the Fargo Moorhead VegFest, Karl and Kathleen Keene, one of the nicest people I've met. I wasn't even aware of Couchsurfing until they informed me about it. And I'm quite glad they did too.
