I am a college student living in the United States who loves traveling and finding true local experiences rather than just going on the pure tourist path. I am very outgoing, friendly, open, and my attitude often one of "go with the flow." My first language is English and I am working on learning French; my interest in France and learning French is due to having an exchange student that I hosted and then stayed with two years ago. Learning about different cultures is very important to me, so couchsurfing seems like the perfect fit.

Warum ich auf Couchsurfing bin
I am trying to backpack throughout Europe this Summer. Couchsurfing looks like it would be a perfect fit, for it will allow me to meet locals who know the area and what unique experiences there are all while helping me travel on a budget. I would also love to host people in my home, but not many people travel through my area, as I live in a suburb far from New York City and not too close to any large tourist attractions.
Musik, Filme und Bücher
I listen to all types of music: rap, classic rock, R&B, alternate rock... pretty much anything that isn't classical or country music. As for books, I read quite often. Some of my favorites would be The Caine Mutiny, Fahrenheit 451, Bel Canto, and Anthem. Lastly, my favorite movie would have to be The Martian, Inception, or Memento.
Eine tolle Sache, die ich getan habe
One thing that I am very proud of is that I am currently on a research team through University at Buffalo with the mission of getting a rover to Venus by 2035. I have worked a lot on this over the past year and am proud of the progress and will be working on this project for the next four years.

I can share what life is like in the United States. Also, I am generally good at making conversation and have a fun sense of humor, so I hope to bring both culture and fun into any household I am staying in. I am glad to cook, clean, or do whatever is helpful around the house, too.
