Single outgoing English female traveller. Trying to regain that life/work balance. Generally live a quiet life in the countryside, until I get bored and go travelling again! Like horse riding and sailing. When at home I work self-employed helping support senior residents to remain living independently in their own home - a bit of a girl friday. Ran a number of my own businesses over the years and lived and worked in London for 20 years but now trying to take a step back and enjoy life ... maybe get around to finding a husband at some point, when I've got more time ;) Until then Carp Diem! :)

Warum ich auf Couchsurfing bin
When I'm crewing on friends' yachts I sometimes need a bed for a couple of nights until my berth on the boat becomes available. As a single female its nice to meet a decent local and experience the local low down of wherever I'm staying rather than staying in a hostel alone. I've only just joined couch surfing so no references yet and I'm not paying £51 to get verified, so I hope that doesn't offend you - just google 'Lorraine Turton UK' . and you'll find me :)

Went to live in Hong Kong when I was 23 - left UK on a one-way ticket and £400 in my pocket. Had to make it work! And I certinly did! Left there 5 years later - some of the best years of my life!
