Hi I'm Merri ^_^ Up til two years ago, I lived my whole life in clean, green Singapore. If ever there was a model toy city, this was it. It's beautiful, safe, and has everything you ever need and despite it's other shortcomings, I love it with all my heart. In a somewhat forced situation, I moved back to the place of my birth (Canada) to get a degree. Living abroad, in a place where no one knew me was challenging, and I never thought I would be able to truly consider it as home, all I wanted was to go home to Singapore. I was wrong. In a place where no one knows you, there is still kindness, generosity, and even love to be found. I know the world has so much to offer, and all I know is just a tiny sliver of it all. Which is why I'm stepping out to travel solo~ I really would like to start a travel and food blog/vlog too. working on it ^^

Warum ich auf Couchsurfing bin
It's one thing to explore the world. It's another to explore the world through another's eyes. I think it would be pretty cool to be able to meet people who have traveled places I've not been to and see it through their perspective. Or even gain a new view on places I have been before.
Musik, Filme und Bücher
Music: A wide range really, but I do have a thing for acoustic, unique airy melodies. Books: The Book Thief, The Alchemist. Movies: Real Steel, Finding Nemo, Spirited Away.. Basically, I'm a sucker for anything Disney/Ghibli/Pixar/Marvel. & of course countless other animes (Angel Beats, Ouran High School Host Club, SAO...) and tv shows (HIMYM, The Big Bang Theory..)
Eine tolle Sache, die ich getan habe
Lived in India in an orphanage. Postponed my studies to be a fill-in mom to unexpected twin sisters.
Was ich mit Hosts teilen kann
Meaningful conversations, laughter, gratitude, companionship. ^_^
Meine Interessen
I'm always open to trying new things, in fact I like it so much that my hair is never the same color for more than a month. On the flipside, I can never stay committed to one thing enough for it to truly be considered a hobby/interest. :P The only exception is people I come to care for. Oh, and food :B
