All my life I wished to travel to Russia, and finally I could do it with a Russian friend (2017). We did it during Russian winter, to make it an actual challenge! (Not really, we had not choice, me and my friend hate winter) During the trip to Russia friend’s family invited to me to a traditional Russian stuff. Why not? I thought at first! It was Day of Epiphany and traditionally Russians are used to bath in frozen river and I didn’t know that. The day became very quickly and I found myself entering to a frozen river in Kursk, with -17C. I don’t know how I survived, but I could. After that they had to help me to dress up because I couldn’t feel anything. After that we finished the day with vodka and meat (then I wasn’t veggie yet). The next day they told me that my new name is “Feofan”; it was a baptism. It was funny to me because I am not religious at all, but I loved this Russian name and clearly it was easier for them to pronounce than my original name. Since then, I became Feofan :D During the my first visit to Lucia’s father house in another town, we thought that could be a great idea ride horse together. The situation became a amazing bad idea when horse, without apparent reason, started running...we end up hospitalised this day xD ok maybe it’s not so funny story
