ABOUT ME "I am a retired professor of sociology who dedicated 33 years to teaching and researching at a university in Korea until my retirement in 2019. Over the years, I have lived extensively abroad—including two years in Australia, two years in the United States, and a year each in China and Japan—which profoundly enriched my understanding of global cultures. Throughout my life, I have accumulated a wealth of cultural experiences not just through traveling, but also by hosting international guests. As a Couchsurfing member, I hope to continue fostering deep, meaningful cultural interactions with mature and like-minded members. In my free time, I stay active and fulfilled by traveling, reading, swimming, taking slow walks, listening to music, and hiking in the mountains." PHILOSOPHY "Two eyes, two ears, only one mouth" "If I am walking with two other men, each of them will serve as my teacher."(Confucius) A good traveler has no fixed plans and is not intent on arriving. (Lao Tzu) "The world is a book and and those who do not travel read only one page"(St. Augustine) "Let it be"
