Warum ich auf Couchsurfing bin
To be able to really visit new places, not only passing through and seeing the sights. And to connect with amazing and kind people along the way :)
Musik, Filme und Bücher
Books, yes! Hemingway, Sanderson, Gaiman, Marquez, Pratchett, my tastes are not random at all :) I like lots of different kinds of music, especially if it has guitars in. Rock, jazz, funk, occasional hip hop. Classical favorite is Debussy. I play the guitar a bit but I'm better at piano. Watching the classics now (love Casablanca), but I also like to hide under my blanket on a stormy night and watch scary stuff that starts with bad cell reception and a flat tyre. James Wan's movies are just so freaky! Favorite horror movie is Dead and Breakfast, which is not really scary at all.
Eine tolle Sache, die ich getan habe
In uni I worked as a kidney-racer, taking donated kidneys to their receivers for transplantation. I got to witness how tragedy can lead to hope and life. (Please register whether you want to donate or not, and let your loved ones know your decision) Also, I completely unexpectedly won a gymnastics championship when I was twelve. ^^
Lehren, Lernen, Teilen
Stuff I know about: Dutch, French, medicine, public health, science, psychology, MS Excel, guitar and piano basics, training dogs, bridge. Stuff I'm learning: I love picking up on other languages, history and cultures. I'm a beginner at slacklining, and I've started an edible garden so I'm learning about gardening and permaculture. For sharing I'd say have a beer (or your beverage of choice) with an optional discussion of world politics, tastes in music and/or the meaning of life.
