CURRENT MISSION Unload a toothpaste and manage to put it back in the tube. ABOUT ME - What I used to say: I'm a nerd but I hide it well. I've been enjoying life in the UK mainly because of friends I've known through CS. When I have to make small talk I tend to become sarcastic. I like people who don't get offended easily. Update: Been a while since I used CS to travel or host. Wondering if it has the same good vibes still.. I'm learning arabic at the moment and looking to practice

Warum ich auf Couchsurfing bin
HOW I (used to) PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING (when I lived in Oxford) Host and feed several of those dirty/smelling travelers each month. (Our fridge full of french cheese smells worse than all of them put together.) COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE I've surfed with and hosted quite a few couchsurfers. The experience is overall very rewarding. UPDATE: Currently live in London and can't host most of the time, apologies travellers.
Musik, Filme und Bücher
The following not up-to-date, sorry, will get to it at some point! Books : Too much science and not enough literature. At the moment into Dostoevsky. Music : http://www.last.fm/user/missintheblue (for a not very updated sample). Music is important in my life, but so is silence. Movies : I like indy/alternative films. Some of my favorite directors are Krzysztof Kieslowski, Lars von Trier, Stanley Kubrick, Fatih Akin, Ingmar Bergman, Wim Wenders, Darren Aronofsky, etc.
Eine tolle Sache, die ich getan habe
Been on this website since 2005.... Somehow made it into my 30s and still looking to have fun. To be honest not much of an achievement but it felt difficult to me at times
Lehren, Lernen, Teilen
I can teach you very basic tango, especially if you are a girl.
Was ich mit Hosts teilen kann
food and drink politics and culture discussions my undivided attention (to the best of my ability)
Meine Interessen
Tango used to be a big thing, then got caught up trying to finish my PhD. Currently trying to figure out what to do with my life since I finished it.
