I recently went to Cambodia on an 'Oxfam Adventure Challenge' where 10 kiwis and 10 ausies cycled 350km in the heat and the dust down highways and tiny back roads. We all had a great time and met many lovely Khmer people. It was deffinately a challenge and the group was made up of people of all ages and fitness levels. The oldest man was 72! For me personally I think I gained as much, if not more pride and satisfaction from the fundraising aspect in the 6 months before our trip. We each raised over $3500NZ for Oxfam and it was amazing to hear how each person approached their fundraising. I can highly recomend the experience to anyone. Fundraising doesnt have to be standing on a street corner with a tin, get creative and make it fun and you will be amazed how generous people can be.
