Hey guys! Is it possible to start a little discussion here talking about good options for outdoor activities around Binghamton for summer? I wanna do some stuff while i'm here! Good parks to go to, if there is any place for horse riding, winery, sailing... :) Any suggestion is welcome! And is there anyone up to make a plan!? Maybe a day camping or any of those things that i just mentioned...

If you like climbing rocks, a bunch of us boulder at a friend's place in Vestal every thursday evening ~6pm. If you're interested, I can get you details. It's kinda special.

This is probably obvious, but certainly driving up along the Finger Lakes is the best choice for wineries. I enjoyed the west side of Seneca and the east side of Cayuga, but I definitely want to check out what's in between. They also supposedly have ale and cheese trails up there too. And at numerous places, I saw lots of little boats, so I'm sure you can sail out from all over both. I'd be up for that.

Day camping? You can do camping just in the day? Would we still get to make s'mores?

Hi Raghav Goyal I would love to hang out with you guys and see how rock climbing works but that's one of the things i'm pretty sure i suck at! I have very weak hands! :)

@Scott i never have had s'mores :D so i would definitely love a camping plan long enough to do that! If we can make a trip plan i'm up for even more than one day! After all it's my summer right now and i'll be around till 28th of June and then from 7th of August. I'm dying to find some cs people up for these types of travelling! I haven't have that for a long time!

I'm fairly busy through next week, but after that, I can probably join you on whatever you're coming up with. Although maybe not horses. Had a bad experience with a horse once.

You mean a horse had a bad experience with you! :) everything is relative ;) I'll come back to Binghamton on 6th. Let me know if you have any idea of what to do! I've never done camping in US and in Iran i didn't really manage them myself so i'm not the best person who start organizing! We might go somewhere and realize we forgot to bring sleeping bag or something like that :)

What? Not doing the planning? Okay, I'm fine with just a drive up to the Finger Lakes, with some kayaking. And lots of sunblock. Can look for a good spot. If someone else wants to plan the s'mores, I'd love to join in. I do agree that the horse must have had mutual sentiments.

Oh Carousels! I've tried one of them in rec park! I think there are 5 of them overall and it's lots of fun!

:) where do you use your kayak?! There are so many things going up and down in circles :D It's fun! I like trying them though i don't really care about a Carousels Marathon! That's a different story!
