Montane grasslands

Hi! I am very curious to see blooming montane grasslands in Italian Alps. Maybe crocus fields... Do you know which is the best time and place to see it? I heard there are botanical trails in Ciampac, Pozza di Fassa and Buffare, do you know the best time to see them blooming?

Ciao Iuliia, i think the most interesting places are the highest fields (1800-2000 meters) during the spring time. the best period is the end of april and beginning of may. dolomites (val di fassa etc..) are ideal places but also in the alps you will find them. the botanical trails are typical middle summer period paths. the crocus show starts when the snow melts, so be prepared to walk beside snow slopes and fields. ciao daniele
