Late flight to Managua

Hi folks! I would love to come to Managua Nicaragua soon, towards the end of this month. And Spirit has a good flight deal, however the flight arrives very late, i.e. 1:30 in the morning. Does anyone has suggestions about staying until morning at Managua airport? How is it at night? Seems also that to arrive to the center is either bus taxi or uber like service? Thank you kindly!

Hola a esa hora de la madrugada llegan los ultimos vuelos, no estoy seguro si puedas quedarte en el aeropuerto ya que no hay mucha gente pero es posible que si. Y para moverte al centro de manera economica es mejor esperar a que sea de dia, los taxis cobran mas caros de noche o de madrugada, y no es recomendable tomar taxi directamente en el aeropuerto suelen ser muy caros. Buenas vibras saludos

Esta copa , taca , american airlines ellos hacen vuelos en la mañanita y no es recomendable que tomes tax y de noche

Hi, Katie. I would not want my daughter arriving alone on that flight unless someone with a trusted driver was meeting her. Taxi fares are not metered, they are negotiated. At that time of night, everything is against you. The hotel across the street has prices more like those in Europe or the US. The low fare could end up being offset by many expenses, or even a bad experience.

Hi Katie, I´ve seen some people sleeping in the Airport, i think is kind of safe, there are police officers in the airport, but everybody can enter and exit freely where you might be sleeping, most likely there won´t be a problem. Taxi fares are indeed expensive and the airport is far from the any hostel in the city center. Spirit flight from fort Lauderdale usually arrive at 2 pm or so. If you are traveling on a low budget, i´d sleep in the airport (taking measures to avoid being pickpocket) and leave managua the very next day (because there`s not much to see in Managua). Also, there is no Uber in Nicaragua, but you can download an App Called "Aventon".
