Place to live for Fall 2016 - Harrisonburg

Hi there!

My husband and I will be living in Harrisonburg from mid August 2016-December 2016 and we are trying to find a place to live. We aren't too picky about the place we live (so we'd be fine with things like roommates, pets, etc.) but we would like to live near JMU (at least biking distance) and not pay anything too outrageous. If you or someone you know has something available for this time.... please let us know!

Hi! I wish I knew more to help you out, but I don't know anyone who has something right now. I'm sure you have already searched all over google, but in case you haven't, google - sublease needed JMU harrisonburg. There are websites showing students who are always looking for someone to sublease and JMU offers advice as well. Some places may even offer a month-to-month basis. Not sure if this was any help, but good luck! Take care!

We have a place with a room we could rent but it is not on a bike route I would want to ride regularly. Some nasty small roads with blind turns and cars, milk trucks, and tractors - often driving fast.

If you like country and animals we might be a good fit but we would need to meet before we commit. It is my wife, a donkey, a mule, two horses, two cats, and two birds...

We might be able to work out a labor for room deal as well. If we are a good fit.
