Looking for a rent in Horsholm

Hi there, I am an erasmus mundus master's student and I will be working on my theisis in Horsholm for 7 months. I am looking for a convenient place (cheaper and not far from the center). Can you recommend a website, online platform where I can get this information? Thank You

Hi Michael,

Hørsholm has some different key areas. All of it is mainly family houses, and it is a very quite 'town'.

There is a shopping street (called Hovedgaden) and that is probably what people would call the center of the area. This could be alright for you - but, again, quiet. You can mostly spend time taking a walk in the forest or going to the small mall. There is no cinema etc.

Otherwise you have Rungsted as another key area, closer to the train station (called Rungsted Kyst station). You may consider living closer to that area (by the harbour), especially in the summer, because that's where people go to eat at a few restaurants, go to the beach, sail etc. Plus the train to Copenhagen departs from this station. Your problem with housing wil probably be that most of Rungsted is family houses with quite wealthy families, and they don't normaly rent out rooms.

The third areas is Kokkedal, close to the next train station (Kokkedal station). This has a few areas with apartment buildings, more ghetto-like. There are no places to go out, but perhaps it will be easier to find something affordable here.

You can try DBA.dk, but the best way in this area will be to ask your future colleagues to help you and recommend you.
