Transportation from Izmir Airport to Konak area around midnight!

Hello! I am going from Kayseri to Izmir in the middle of September and my flight will arrive there around midnight. Which is the easier and cheaper way to go from Izmir Airport to Konak area close to midnight? Can I find buses or aiport transfers to Konak area at this time or just taxi? Thank you!

There is izban(looklike a city train). in airport. It works until 12:30 or 12:45 sometimes. U can go to Hilal station by izban and u can enter to Izmir metro in there. Izmir metro goes to Konak from Hilal. There is only 3 stops between both of them.

Depending on the time you still have Izban (metro line), but if it is after 12.00 probably you will not find it. Anyway, you have the bus 202 that goes until Alsancak and stops in Konak and runs at night, but you need an Izmir transportation card for that. Otherwise you always have the shuttle buses to Alsancak: http://www.havas.net. A taxi from the airport to Konak probably will cost you around 50-60TL.

I would suggest asking to a local for the transportation card. And you can give the money to them :)

You'll have two options, eshot(bus) or izban(train). You can check the bus hours from this link http://www.eshot.gov.tr/en/UlasimSaatleri/289 . The bus number is 202. You can check the bus stops from that site too. After the karataş stop, you are in the konak area, you can get off wherever is close to your destination.

If you decide to use the izban, check this site http://www.izban.com.tr/sayfalar/SeferSaatleri.aspx?MenuId=22 Hareket Durağı: Adnan Menderes Varış Durağı: Halkapınar or Hilal The departure and arrival hours will show up, though they might not be that prices. Then you will need to switch trains and get on the metro on halkapınar, then there will be Konak stop at the metro. Note that izban and metro does not work after 1am (between 12am-01am it might be troublesome too).

After midnight , there is two more metro / izban transportation so you can get in one of them nd u can get off Kemer or Hilal izban station easily. On İzmir website last train looks at 00:21 am but l m sure there is two more train. After Kemer or Hilal izban station u need to walk or get a taxi. Maybe hitchhiking but l m not sure how safety for that area :)

Alternatively, havaş busses can drop you to Efes Hotel for 12 TL. They have busses for several different directions, so make sure that the one you take goes to Alsancak.

Probably you should ise local buz system take the bus number 202 u can but ur tickets from driverlar ör authenticated seller kist of them small markets this is the cheap way i think if u cant catch İZBAN metro system
