I do believe that there is a bus(streamline) that goes between the two.

Yes, the Streamline bus runs daily during the week. Departs once in the morning and once in the late afternoon/early evening.

Hey, Welcome to Bozeman!! I have purchased many items from a secondhand thrift store where they consign outdoor gear. It's called " Second Wind". Besides that venue, I don't know where they would rent backpacking gear. Good luck and enjoy yourself!!
