Milngavie is pretty much a suburb of Glasgow.

Milngavie Station is only 23mins on the train from either of Glasgow's main railway stations. Either Glasgow Queen Street or Glasgow Central. During the day the trains are every 15mins. A host in Glasgow City Centre or the West End of Glasgow would be equally as good and probably more interesting than spending a night in Milngavie.

The West Highland way starts only a couple of mins walk from Milngavie Train station.
