Parking in Monschau/ Aachen??

Hey there!

I'm going on a Germany road trip, but am now a bit concerned about parking. Are there any places in Monschau and Aachen where I can park my car for free (or if not maybe a bit further out but still reachable...)

Hy there, the parking-situation depends on how long you want to stay in the city.

For Aachen, I suggest you park at the "APAG Parkhaus Rathaus" or the "Contipark Parkhaus Grosskölnstrasse" if you just want to take a look at the historic city. (1€ per 30/60min. for weekdays/sunday)

If you want to stay longer, I suggest you park your car at the parking place "Waldfriedhof" in the south of the city (googlemaps: 50.745182, 6.107447) and take the bus to the historic city (~10min.).

For Monschau, I don't think there is any free parking (because parking place is short in this little, historic town. But try the south of the town (next to "Monschauer Glashütte und Handwerkermarkt"), I guess there are some free parkingplaces, if you want to walk into the town. Hi aus Aachen, Wenn du in Aachen möglichst zentral und gratis parken möchtest würde ich dir empfehlen mal auf diese Karte zu schau'n: http://www.aachen.de/de/stadt_buerger/verkehr_strasse/clevermobil/parken/bewohnerparken/15-05-19-Uebersicht-Internet.pdf Alles, was nicht farbig markiert ist, sind Zonen, die nicht zu den Bewohnerparkzonen gehören und somit kann man da auf unbestimmte Dauer gratis parken. Ich würde dir z.B. die Intzestraße empfehlen (unter dem "K"), da sind geschätzt fast 100 Plätze (natürlich kommt's bisschen auf Glück an ;) ) Von da aus ist man zu Fuß in 5min in der Pontstraße und in 15min auf dem Marktplatz / am Dom
