Hi Mariana, you can take a trip of about 8 hours from Bogota. You will take about 5 days in El Cocuy.
Hello Mariana! A friend recomends me a hotel with guide, its cheaper and they make groups with other travellers. The hotel's owner is Doña Celmira, and her phone is (+57) 311 2594027. I share the shortfilm of my friend filmed in El Cocuy, enjoy it! https://vimeo.com/132254995
Hello Mariana. The best best hostel is coffee tre boutique hostel is ubicated in Salento is clean, quiet, good ubication and cheap. My recomendation is fly Bogota to Pereira and take a bus to Salento is only 40 minutes. If you going to Valle del Cocora or Cocora Valley the people of the front desk can help you with maps. They are very helpful and speak differents lenguage. The total journey of the cocora valley are 6 or 7 hours and walk between rivers and mountains. If you need more information please ask me. Have a nice trip
She asked about El Cocuy, not Cocora.
Hi Mariana,
Renseigne toi bien mais les glaciers ne sont pas accessibles. Sinon va directement à El Cocuy ou El Guican et de là il est facile d'organiser des marches. C'est magnifique! Très bonnes ballades!
Well, it depends. If you want to see glaciers, Cocuy it's perfect, but if you want to see jungle and sacred places for indigenous people "ciudad perdida" or "city lost" its for you!
Hey Mariana . It seems that all you need is the basic information on how to reach the park, prices, description. If so, then go to (spanish): http://www.parquesnacionales.gov.co/portal/es/ecoturismo/region-andina/parque-nacional-natural-el-cocuy-3/
Don't hesitate to ask for any help!
On the other hand, if you're looking for the best hiking experience, I could recommend you one that I knew few months ago: Parque Nacional Natural la Cueva de Los Guácharos. The caverns and landscape are amazing! But it all depends on what you want to experience.

Hello. I was in "El cocuy " 2 years ago, with a group of 14 people. We hired 4 guides in order to reach the summit of "Pan de azucar". We left Bogota on friday night, and returned on tuesday night. Do you need information of guides? how to get there? or looking for a group to go there?
