Basic, cheap, very typical sandwiches and wine at Lele bacaro, next to Iuav.
everyone wants to visit places they do not know in cultures that are not theirs. you have not thought that if you go to eat in a "non-tourist" place that place will become "touristy" immadiately? ; )) Carlo
Osteria enoteca ai artisti near Accademia galleries. I go there for lunch almost everyday. Not cheap

This is a fusion kitchen run by a man from Afghanistan and a team of refugees. Is super good and in the students area. If you go in the evening all around there will be students and a very nice mood. And cheap bars ;)
Those same guys opened one in Padova too! https://www.facebook.com/peaceaspice/

“Do Forni” is one of the best restaurants in Venice, is close to San Marco square. The food is delicious, but it’s expensive as well! Otherwise “Aciugheta” or “ Acquapazza” are good too.
