Road trip in October. Starting in Palermo. What direction?

I'm spending October working and traveling in Sicily with my van. I arrive in Palermo and I'm planning on making a tour along the coast. What direction should I go to ensure I make the most of the weather? Should I go West, South, East and North? Or should I go North, East, South and West?

Hi Claudio ! To be honest I prefer west and the south west coast. I mean that one of the best tour could be for you star from Palermo and reach Castellammare del Golfo, San Vito lo Capo and Custonaci \ Trapani, following the old way not the highway. If you want after you can follow the south coast there are two natural park (wwf) and I advice you visit also Sambuca di Sicilia, Montevago and Lago arancio. Those are few km from the coast.
