Ouirgane, secret getaway from Marrakech

Framed by the foothills of the High Atlas and the artificial lake Ouirgane, the pretty village of the same name, 60 km south of Marrakech , is a large taxi from Bab er-Rob. In summer in Morocco , hikers will meet up in Imlil, fans of walks and picnics in the Ourika Valley, unaware that they can practice their favorite activities Ouirgane the crowd in less - and before lunch, one can discover the Thursday market.

Journey afternoon

Enjoy lunch and a glass of wine at the poolside of The Olive Grove of Marighais (06 61 04 31 82; www.oliveraie de marigha.com ) at heart ... a century-old olive grove. Admire the view of the High Atlas Mountains while paddling in the pool (transfers to / from Marrakech Dh 200). The nature lovers enjoy the Dar Tassa (05 24 48 43 12; www.dartassa.com ; Douar Tassa, Ouirgane, double half-board 605 Dh Dh 775-990 with bathroom), in the hamlet of Tassa Ouirgane (1300 m), near the nature reserve Takherkhort, accessible by a mountain road starting Ouirgane. We can have tea in the library, take a cooking class and enjoy the steam room on the terrace. Learn about trips to the reserve to see the Barbary sheep, gazelles Cuvier (reserve Amassine) and other rare and endangered species. Environmentally, this property provides a portion of its profits to the HAF for reforestation.

Family outings
