What's the weather like on Oct in Zakopane?

Hi there! My name is Hsiang-Wen and I come from Taiwan, a small and beautiful island near Japan and China. This is my first time to visit Poland, and I feel so excited about it! However, since I've grown in a country which has no "real winter"... I mean, there is no snow in gound. Therefore, I have no idea what should I wear during that time (Oct). Thank you for your any advise!

Hi! There shouldn't be a snow cover in October in the Tatras but sometimes it happens that there's a short snowfall even in August (like this year). Weather can change in the mountains quickly so be prepared. If you'ree planning to hike in the Tatras always have a warm sweater, winter hat, gloves and waterproof jacket in your backpack. Even thoug there'll be no snow it can be cold (morning frosts), windy and rainy on the trail.
