About

The Lanzones Festival in Camiguin is an annual cultural and harvest celebration in the Philippines that honors the lanzones fruit — the island’s most famous crop, known for being especially sweet thanks to the rich volcanic soil of the province.  🌴 What it is: It’s a week-long thanksgiving festival held every third week of October in Camiguin, especially in the capital town of Mambajao. The festival celebrates the abundance and harvest of lanzones (locally called buahanan), which are a major source of livelihood and pride for the islanders.  🍡 Why it matters: For locals, it’s more than just about fruit — it’s a thanksgiving for a bountiful harvest, a showcase of community spirit, culture, and togetherness. It’s also one of the region’s most anticipated events, drawing locals and tourists alike to enjoy Camiguin’s hospitality.  🎉 Highlights & Activities: Grand Parade & Street Dancing: Vibrant dance competitions, Cultural Shows & Trade Fairs, Competitions & Youth Events
