CURRENT MISSION world peace ABOUT ME I am Saman and I am from Kurdistan region of Iraq, I work for an aid NGO. I am a very friendly and flexible person ( I think) who gets on with anyone. Really easy going, clean and Hygenic. I can also cook some nice middle eastern dishes. understanding and respecting both eastern and western cultures. Travelers to my country/City: I have a very busy life and working days so I apologize if I am not able to host or meet when receiving requests but please feel free to check with me before sending the request and I would do my best to at least advise and guide or may be meet or host if I am around and the couch is free. Hosts in places I travel to: Dears, I can always afford a budget hotel or a hostel when I travel so if i ask for a stay at your place be sure its not only about cost saving but more about meeting locals and seeing things from their eyes. I am the type of traveler who would like to combine between leisure and work. for example, if I am at your country/city then it's very likely that I have something to do there like a seminar, workshop, meeting or something but I usually extend my stay by a couple of days on my own expense to experience the locals. or the other way around, I can't just go to a country only to see it as my workdays/hours are very busy and won't be able to take all that time off from work. PHILOSOPHY The true figure of any person reveals when they come under pressure.

Smile when you still have teeth"
Hello! I'm a bid coordinator and engineer from the Middle East. I have a big passion for traveling. I have travelled to some countries, and I'm planning to explore more in the future. I'm interested in science, technology, and space. I have a degree in Chemical engineering, I'm preparing to start my master's degree and looking forward to new experiences. I enjoy seeing new places and learning about different cultures. On Couchsurfing, I'm excited to show visitors around my city and share its special spots. Hosting travelers is awesome because I get to meet new people and hear about their lives. When I'm traveling, I love to meet locals and other travelers. It makes my trips more fun and helps me learn about the places I visit. If you're in my country, or if we're in the same place, let's meet up. We can share stories, talk about our interests like things we have in common and have a great time exploring together. Let’s make our travel adventures unforgettable!
I am a social person who love to travel and experience new things, food, exchange thought and learn about different traditions and cultures. I have been working in a humanitarian aid field for the last decade serving Refugees and internally displaced people in different countries and had a good opportunity to meet people from all around the world which enriched my knowledge about each ones cultures and traditions. I am looking for a funny, easy-going person to guide me during my trip 😊

Hi! I'm Mattin and I am a medical student from Kurdistan. I'm coming to New York in September to attend the 81st UN General Assembly to represent the medical students worldwide and as an IFMSA delegate. This is my first time using Couchsurfing, though I've always loved the idea of meeting locals instead of just passing through a city. Outside of work, I enjoy photography, football, trying street food, live music. I'm easygoing, respectful of space and routines, and happy to help out however I can — whether that's cooking a meal from home, contributing to groceries, or just being good company over coffee. My days during UNGA week will mostly be spent at the UN and nearby meetings, so I'd mainly need a place to sleep and recharge — I won't be around much to be underfoot. I'd genuinely love to hear about New York from someone who actually lives there, and happy to share stories from [home country] in return. Looking forward to connecting!
