I AM VERY STRICT WITH THE COUCH REQUESTS THAT I RECEIVE, so you better READ MY ENTIRE PROFILE and write a message related to it. If you are looking at my profile hoping to be hosted, I strongly recommend you to read and understand this blog: https://brenontheroad.com/couchsurfing-101/ I'm a humble and home-living guy, I could be shy at the beginning perhaps. I have few friends but it doesn't mean I'm not able to socialize easily. This is why I love travelling, because it forces you to interact with people out of your "mother" environment, which is rewarding as you can learn at the same time that you are giving something back to people. I like pets (specially cats), and I've joined hiking groups in the cities where I've lived.

We are hosting at certain times :) Please read our whole profile if you are considering asking to stay with us. Here’s to good times! Hey guys, Id love a good chat and to form a new friendship regardless of whether or not we are meeting up or lending couches! Feel free to add me as a friend. If you are applying to stay don’t feel the need to write a giant essay; but please communicate in a way that lets me know you read about us first. Im Jake, here are a few points about me: 1. My wife and I are open minded people. We love meeting folks from every background and learning about what drives them. 2. Her name is Chloe-ann. We do pretty much everything together with our little dog 🐶 milo. 3. We are ex van-lifers - we converted a massive mercedes sprinter van into a camper and we lived in it full time off grid for 2 years. Now we live in a beautiful apartment on the water in Biggera Waters (the Gold Coast QLD). 4. We appreciate the concept of minimalism; we have learned that possessions can be a burden; we are always trying our best to simplify our lives and reduce clutter so we can focus on the important things like goals and relationships. 5. My wife and I are both singers and we also play guitar. I write songs. We love music. 6. I can fix computers and phones. I had a great shop which I’ve now sold but still do repairs here and there. Let me know if you need something fixed and I will help you out if I have the time. 7. We are always on the lookout for hiking/adventure/camping/beach/paddleboarding buddies. We love doing outdoor stuff! 8. We sometimes like to host board game nights and group adventures with friends. 9. Chloe has a lash and brow salon near surfers paradise which has grown quite popular. She also sells lash and brow products in her second office. 10. I recently received my real estate license; also learning hypnotherapy, and doing sales work as a contractor for a prospecting company as well as disability support work. Yeah, I’m a bit scattered. 11. I naturally often find my way to deep conversations about life and spirituality, since I’ve always been intrigued about the nature of this life and reality. Chloe and I shared a dramatic transition from deeply religious to open minded spirituality. We are open to everything and don’t dismiss anything. Love seeing the perspectives of others. 12. We love the gym and are Snap Fitness members. Happy to take you with us if you’re a member too. Not sure about their guest policy. 13. We are vegetarian and on a pretty strict diet. High quality (mostly organic where possible) food is important to us. We enjoy cooking for others and would love for our surfers to cook for us, if you have some great vego recipes, especially something unique or from your culture. When guests stay with us, we ask that they be out of the house when we are, unless we expressly indicate otherwise. Most couchsurfers are awesome people and we usually build trust with them quickly, but assume this rule applies anyway, just to avoid awkwardness and make sure nothing is taken personally. We accept guests of either sex, which I’m finding more and more rare here. In too many areas I see fake hosts accepting guests based on their sexual preferences, which is deeply off putting. If that is you, please dont ask to stay with us. If you dont have many reviews on CS please send a link to a social media profile so we can at least get a feel for you as a person. If you are a host, and especially if you are willing to host us back please message us. We would be pleased to support you in your journey and meet you in your home country sometime as well. Please only apply for a maximum of 2-3 nights up front unless you are an extensive host yourself and are happy to reciprocate, or you discuss it with us first. We will likely ask you to buy/contribute something to the home, whether that is a meal or maybe something from Kmart, Bunnings, etc. While we are always happy to open our home to couchsurfers for a couple/few days, if you are wanting to extend to a longer stay with us (like 1 week plus), we’d discuss a reasonable contribution. If you request to stay more than a month in advance I probably won’t be able to give you a solid answer straight away. Feel free to send a request anyway. +61478741129 (Jake) Jake has Kakaotalk as well And wechat @Jakematrix

CURRENTLY TRAVELLING THOUGH CANADA CANT HOST! Taking advantage of experiencing Canadian seasonal work as a Tree Planter, FireFighter and Ski bum. All whilst backpacking, bikepacking, hitchhiking, train-surfing and Couchsurfing my way through North America! My goals are to reach Central/South America this coming year with my mates to tick off the entirety of the Americas. But its not just about listing off all of the countries when travelling, thats called being a tourist! Travelling, as I have learned is a philosphy that does not focus on place but focuses on people and the connections between them (like a host and a couch surfer!). Cultural exchange, friendship, guidance, food, music and language really feel like the most rewarding part of travellling. HOST BIO: Hi, I’m Jackson but you can call me Jax. I am a young guy on the Gold Coast living with 2 of my best mates. Collectively we are wanting to both travel and help out fellow travellers coming to our amazing city, hopefully making some friends along the way 😊
