I think of me as a friendly guy, easy to get in touch and hang around. I'm working at a passenger ship called Hurtigruten that goes the beautiful coast of Norway. When I’m not at work I’m free like a bird, so I’m not likely to confirm a request before last minute when I know I’m home to welcome you.
NOT HOSTING THIS SUMMER, AS I AM TRAVELING MYSELF! Just got back to Couch Surfing now, (february 2024) after a ten year break! I got kids then and that kind of took up all available time :D CURRENT MISSION 3 months exploring Italy in our camping wagon! ABOUT ME I guess my life can be summed up in the following way: Grew up in Nothern Norway in a remote and small village where people, and therefore friends, where few and much appreciated and eating manners didnt matter much. Nature was everywhere around us and we rather played outside in -20 degrees snowstorms than watching TV at home. Since it wasnt much to do except being in nature, it was plenty of time to think and talk about life and everything. Still as curious about the world as when I where a kid. I always try to have better empathy with others, and acquire more wisdom about life. Moved to Trondheim when I was 22(it felt like an enormous city then), partying a lot and enjoying life very much. Threw out the TV many years ago, to avoid wasting time channel zipping. Love traveling and have discovered the wonderful complexity of People of all cultures and ideas. In love with the world and all the people in it! and with Chocolate :) Now I have two kids (10 and 11) and Im trying to show them the fantastic world we all live in and have them meet different and interesting people from all over the word. PHILOSOPHY The following is my own personal wisdom: "Life is meaningless, so just have fun!" "Im the only one responsible for my own happiness"
I have been traveling through my music studies and know how it is to search for cheap accommodation in a new city. So I open my homes if I can. I have been lucky to live in hotels touring as a musician so its my time to give back. I love to meet new people and belive that visiting new places and the friendships that you can get in surprising places is a important innspiration in life.

I’m a Czech traveler who has spent many years exploring Europe and eventually found my way to Norway. I love traveling, nature, hiking, camping, fishing and discovering places beyond the usual tourist routes. I enjoy meeting people from different countries, sharing stories and experiences, and showing others a little bit of the place I call home. I’m happy to welcome travelers who are respectful, open-minded and curious about Norway. You don’t have to be an experienced traveler — just come with a good attitude and an open mind. For me, Couchsurfing is not just about having a place to sleep. It’s about people, stories, cultural exchange and the simple idea that a stranger can sometimes become a friend.
Anna: moved to Norway in 2022 as a skilled worker. Curious about everything. Local activist, ukrainian-belarusian-norwegian, with evil sense of humour, but deeply kind in reality. I generally like people and enjoy a lot any kind of social activities. Peter: From a small island on the West coast. Studied history. Work as a translator. Interested in philosophy, society, psychology and politics. My hobby is 3D printing, and I run a small webshop selling hunting equipment. Studied Japanese, but forgot everything. I also speak German badly =) Have been all over Norway.
In my free time, I do a lot of things, hence, I never really get enough "free time". If my mood is right for debugging and staring at a computer screen for a couple of hours, I do programming. If I want something more relaxed, with a nice cup of tea and some cookies, I write. And if I want to lie down, I usually read something or watch something. On sunnier days, you can find me out with friends, volunteering or biking and hiking around. And if I am travelling, my days consist of walking through the city, and whenever I feel like it, entering a shop or a museum. Maybe going to a rock climbing gym and of course, taking many photos of the everyday life of each city, as well as the grand structures. Currently, I am studying Robotics at NTNU, working on website development, and living with the love of my life. Life is beautiful. Now, my girlfriend and I are going on a hitchhiking trip throughout Europe.

Currently living in Trondheim. My passion is creativity, more specifically music! I am a vocalist in a band, and I spend most of my spare time doing music in one way or another. Some words/short sentences to describe who I am would probably be: Creative, musician, explorer, weird (or some might call it quirky), unique character, caring, mature but childish and a hint of crazy but I believe its the good kind of crazy. I love making others smile and one of my goals is to take part in making the world a better place one step at the time. I've got an insatiable curiosity for everything I dont already know all about.
Eager to visit places, get to know cultures, people, cook food, drink wine and beer, hike in mountains, forests, swim in lakes, rivers, oceans, pet a dog, cat, horse, gather firewood and burn big bonfires, read a book, watch a movie, listen to music, help out and hang out with family and friends, and probably more.
