MY PATH I've not lived in Italy since I was 9, which gave me a certain ease and flexibility for moving around from country to country, and that is what I have been doing up until two years ago... But now aiming to stabilize for a while in Salvador, which has come to be my Nth home sweet home... And I highly recommend visiting it! ABOUT ME A good laugh, a sing along, a boogie or a stroll around a beautiful place are my feel-good pills... Play at least one of those cards and we're likely to get along! PHILOSOPHY 1) Live, laugh and love 2) NOTHING...and EVERYTHING...is...wait for it...POSSIMPIBLE! 3) Everything happens for a reason, learn from it, but don't dwell on it

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I have both hosted and been hosted, with more or less frequency, depending on my housing situation, which has been frequently changing in the past years! I have been a proud member of the wonderful Abuja CS family, with all their energy and love to give!!! In Salvador my CS participation has been limited thus far, I was settling down and getting the hang of things with my studies... But now I finally have somewhere to host, so I'll open up that door soon! COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE (Note: when I first joined CS I was travelling with my best friend, so we had a joint account, hence why this account was only created in 2011) In 2007 I was hosted with a friend in Trujillo Perú, later have been hosted in Italy too, and throughout 2007/2008 had a number of guests staying with us in Brighton, and in 2011/2012 in Barcelona! Also CS has given me the opportunity to meet great people in virtually every place I've lived in, it is an amazing resource for connecting with like-minded folks!
Music, Movies, and Books
Kind of a movie and series addict, also have a book with me at all times for waiting moments, large variety of genres...music, well anything that gets you dancing and singing!!.. But mainly reggae :-)
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Free camping on deserted Eritrean islands in the Red Sea, one night even got caught in a ferocious storm... Motorbiking around Cambodia for a month... Travelling around South-East Asia alone
Teach, Learn, Share
Well, I have learnt a lot from extra first hand experience how to set up a microfinance project!...So any help in that field I can give... And of course pretty specialized in public health by now lol...i want to learn more languages, as many as possible...and I can teach most of the ones I know... I can teach how to make dishes from a few different countries, and ALWAYS love to learn how to cook something new and delicious!
What I Can Share With Hosts
My experiences, and enthusiasm! And either an Italian meal, or some other dish I learned to make in one of the countries I've passed through!
My Interests
# Eating lots of food, my dream is actually to be a gastronomic traveller (what am I doing about that dream, you might ask? For now, making a point of trying all the foods from the places I visit, and even try to cook them myself!) #yoga has carved a more significant space into my life lately, probably to try to make up for all those hours spent in front of the computer reading or writing something for the PhD! #capoeira has been one of my passions since I was 14, now I live in its cradle and yet have not managed to delve into it, but I know that I'm not done with it and patiently await its return :-) #in general, any sport or movement! I've become a runner as of two years, and adore the release it gives me.. Also swimming, hiking, volleyball, you name it, I'll wanna play it! # i like chilling with my friends, chatting over a nice dinner or lunch... #travelling of course, oh and # going to the beach (the pool, when you're thousands of miles away from the nearest beach!), summer or winter, the most peaceful place of all... # and well, going out and dancing till my legs hurt, and singing till I'm out of breath, but who doesn't like that?
