Hi fellow Couchsurfers I'm a Kiwi (from New Zealand) currently living and working abroad in Papua New Guinea (a nation in the South Pacific region). My first taste of travel was when I spent 6 months in Austria on a school exchange during high school...I had caught the travel bug. I moved to PNG in 2013 to continue my flying career as a pilot. I am privileged to be able to experience all regions of this epic island paradise. My new position allows me to have a lot of time off work which I am using to travel the world!

When I'm travelling, I like to experience the place through the eyes of the locals. A hotel room with a TV isn't really my thing. If you're visiting PNG I'll give you some recommendations for travelling this awesome country.

My Interests
Music: Love live music, watching a busker in the street to a full on stadium concert. I'm a drummer but also a frequent air-bass player whenever the funk kicks in. The outdoors: Hiking, Skiing, Paragliding Aviation: Of course! Anthropology, Astronomy/Cosmology, Evolution, Geology, Sustainable development and any other approaches and technologies that can help save this planet from total disaster.
